Feelings, positive or negative, are there for a reason, and if we do not tend to them, we are denying an important part of our mental wellbeing. It does not mean that we need to sit on our negative emotions forever, but it means that only by accepting them and working through them can we move on FROM them.
In our practice, we provide a safe environment where you can start exploring your feelings, accept them, and work through them. It is scary and uncomfortable to face our emotions sometimes, and that is why we are right there with you, through the process, walking by your side.
We work with individual clients, couples, and families. We are a small group practice that believes people have the ability to cope with the problems they face, but sometimes they have no access to those resources. We also believe that safe connections are necessary for change to happen.
Being a therapist is more than a career for me - it is a passion, it is my calling, and it is what gives meaning to my life. This is my second career, and everyday I am grateful for the course that my life took to get me here.
In our work together, we will explore the underlying themes and patterns in your life that are keeping you stuck in unfulfilling cycles. I believe it is a privilege to be let into my client’s inner world.
In our work together we will explore strategies to address what you may be struggling with and find opportunities to shift your relationship with the “problem.” My general approach gears toward identifying and being present with your experience.
I practice from an attachment and trauma-informed lens, which considers the shaping nature of childhood and later relationships on each person’s mental health development and challenges within the context of relationships.
